The Biosynexus scientific team is a closely-knit group whose collective experience and training spans a wide range of scientific expertise in the fields of basic and applied science. This includes laboratories focused on: a) genetic engineering of antibodies, enzymes and cellular receptors, b) developing and testing functional activity of hybridomas made to novel staphylococcal antigens; c) designing new in vitro microbiological approaches to testing potency of our products that are in preclinical development; d) formulating appropriate delivery vehicles including topical creams for delivery of our products; e) process development tailored for our products including purification methods and analytical methods to test purity and activity of our products and f) testing of the clinical specimens that are obtained during our clinical trials.
These combined skills enable Biosynexus to develop novel approaches to treat and prevent nosocomial infections and to rapidly and effectively translate these findings into a clinical product. One of our principal priorities in advancing a novel technology into a potential clinical product is developing proprietary models to demonstrate that observations that we see under in vitro conditions will also be seen under physiologic conditions in relevant models.
